IndianaPrepVolleyball.com is a site founded by Zach McCrite.
It’s primary focus is to be a place for Indiana prep volleyball players, coaches, parents and fans to receive volleyball news and information about one of the hotbeds of the sport in the United States.
A secondary focus (and the site’s first goal) is to develop a constantly-updating rating system that includes all 400+ Indiana high school volleyball teams.
Zach grew up in a volleyball family, including being a student assistant at his high school, Providence (Clarksville, Ind.), in the late 1990s. He graduated high school in 1998 and began “officially” coaching at Providence on a more regular basis in 2000 while mixing in work and college.
After two consecutive state finals appearances at Providence, Zach took a respite from Providence in 2003 after being offered a student assistant position at Purdue University by then-new head coach Dave Shondell.
After that stint, Zach coached at KIVA (Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy) until his other profession (sports radio) sent him to St. Louis to work for ESPN Radio and then to where he resides now, in Oklahoma City working for NBC Sports Radio.
Zach’s love for Indiana high school volleyball lives on from there through this site and he hopes to see this site grow over time, especially when he gets fired from radio and moves back to Indiana someday.
